Restocking our (online) store shelves
Have you checked out our online store lately? Everything available there is totally optional, and is geared to offering you locally grown and produced food items from small farms/producers we know and trust. Without trying to be all things to all people, we give you access to staples for your household's meals to augment what you receive in your CSA box--with the convenience of home delivery.
New to the store! We're pleased to add a new product this week: Organic, Grass-Fed Sharp Cheddar Cheese from McCluskey Bros, the same folks who bring you the organic maple syrup we offer. The McCluskey brothers and their families farm 800 acres of pasture and woods at Shillelagh Glen Farm, near Hillpoint, WI, where they grew up and where their family has farmed for over 125 years. This cheese is
- certified organic and 100% grass-fed
- made only from the milk of their single herd of 60 or so Holstein, Normande, and Jersey milking cows
- rGBH-free and GMO-free, and made without animal enzymes
- produced in separate (single-herd) batches by Cedar Grove Cheese Company
- a white cheddar aged at least one year, and sold in random weight one-lb packages
Read more about McCluskey Bros here, and check out our store for full information about purchasing this superb cheese.
Back in stock! From Lonesome Stone Milling Company in Lone Rock, WI, we'll have a new batch of ground-to-order Organic All Purpose Whole
Wheat Flour and Organic Whole Wheat Bread Flour, as well as their original Pancake Mix. We've also replenished our stocks of organic Blue Corn Tortilla Chips from Blue Farm in Janesville, WI, which pair nicely with any of our five salsas.
Check out the list below (to the right) for our full list of add-on products; better yet, get thee to the store!
