Field of Honor at Charlestown
This past weekend, Tom was honored to speak at multiple events honoring Memorial Day and the sacrifices made by service men and women for our country.
One of those events was the opening ceremony for the Field of Honor at the Charlestown retirement community. Exactly 1,000 flags will be up until Saturday and then will be sold to raise money for veterans groups.
You can read more about this new tradition here. |
Public Park coming soon to Spring Grove
Yesterday, the Board of Public Works approved the purchase of 8.8 acres of land from the Spring Grove Hospital campus by Baltimore County.
This approval makes official the plans that have been long in the works. Councilman Quirk was pleased with the news.
"I am glad that the Board unanimously approved this plan," Quirk said. "I will continue to advocate for more acres from the property to be set aside for recreation space, including ball fields."
