NEW 3500 & 3600 SERIES DOCK LIFTS

As you read this newsletter, we are putting the finishing touches on the 3500 and 3600 series dock lifts. We will be quoting and accepting orders for them in this month of January. Just like the new 3400 series that was released last quarter, these units replace the old 4000 series. The capacities are 16,000# and 20,000#'s respectively and the new lowered heights are 17-1/2" or less. They also offer substantial cost savings.

NEW 3200 & 3300 SERIES DOCK LIFTS

By now some of you have already received shipment of one of the new 3200 and 3300 series lifts. These units have 12" lowered heights and offer some cost savings. They look like the new 3400 thru 3600 models and reflect our latest thinking on dock lift design.

Over the last three (3) years we have developed new designs for more than 80% of our dock lift line. We have been the #1 Dock lift builder in the U.S. for more than 40 years and the more we build the more we learn. We have more top of ground models and more recessed models than anyone else in the business. We have a proven track record for reliability, as many of our units that are over 35 years old are still in daily service. When you buy Advance - you buy the best.

A REVIEW OF 2014 DEVELOPMENTS:
LANDING LOCK DESIGN

This design was developed at the beginning of this year and we applied for a patent on this device. As the year progressed we further refined the product and have recently reapplied for an updated patent application. The design consists of two (2) hydraulically operated locking pins that are platform mounted and engage enclosure uprights to firmly secure platforms at upper elevations. See mezzanine accessories on our website for more details. Also, note that the entire accessory page has been updated.

ADVANCE LIFTS ENCLOSURES

Until the beginning of 2014, we had been supplying Wildeck enclosures with our mezzanine lifts. January of 2014 we began supplying our own designs. We assigned one of our senior R & D engineers to a 12 month project of designing our own enclosures and we coupled our in house development with interviews and feedback from our installers who were familiar with Autoquip, Pflow and Wildeck enclosures, to insure that we use industry "best practices". We have arrived at the point where we have a set of standard components that we can quickly plug together to form custom enclosures. Turn-around time on enclosure drawings and product, have been greatly improved.

TWO NEW MOVIES

Mezzanine lifts have a new movie showing an application from ground level to a 2nd floor level that is equipped with a roll up door.

Work Access lifts have a new movie showing a self-propelled "U" shaped lift with sliding curved platform sections and two (2) types of fixed stairs.

CURE FOR ELEVATOR INSPECTIONS!

The 2015 addition of the International Building Code (published in June of 2014) cites MH29.1 as the appropriate reference for all industrial scissors lifts so they are not to be confused with elevators or vertical reciprocating conveyors. If you are having a problem with an inspector, let us know and we will help to educate him.

UPDATED WHITE PAPER ON MEZZANINE LIFTS
