Dear Common Thread CSA Members and Friends,
We have plenty of 2016 CSA shares available! It is the season for ordering, hiring, and dreaming for the season to come. It's very helpful to know who we are planning for, so now is a great time to sign up. We invite you to join us and to let your friends and neighbors know about us too by passing on this message. CSA members eat fresh, tasty, healthy produce while making a commitment to support local, sustainable agriculture.
CSA members can pick up their shares at the farm in Madison, 4 miles north of Hamilton, or at one of our pick up sites in Clinton, Utica, Rome, Norwich, Syracuse, Dewitt, Manlius, Fairmount, and Fayetteville. We are also open to proposals for new pick up sites.
We have standard and small share sizes available at all sites. We offer summer only shares, fall only shares, and full season shares. as well as a winter share. Pick your own crops such as cherry tomatoes, cut flowers, beans, peas, and herbs are available to all CSA members. CSA members learn about and participate in farm through share pick-up, our weekly CSA emails, farm events and open pick your own and volunteer hours.
All of the vegetables in our shares are grown on our farm in Madison. We grow a wide variety of crops including lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, watermelons, potatoes, carrots, onions, kale, cilantro, arugula, spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, eggplant, cabbages. cucumbers, zucchini/summer squash, escarole, winter squash, garlic, beets, scallions and much more.
We want the CSA to be accessible to all. We have a sliding scale payment system to make it easier for everyone to participate in the farm, and for those who need additional help, we have a sponsored share program. If you need financial assistance to be able to participate, please contact us. We also welcome donations and thank our CSA members for their generous contributions which make our CSA accessible to all.
