Dear Common Thread Members and Friends,

Spring is finally here - the last patches of snow are almost melted and we were able to break ground today for the first time.  We're ready for it!

The Norwich YMCA has kindly agreed to host a pick up site for Common Thread CSA!  Folks with contacts in Norwich, please help us spread the word.  Also, if there is interest in delivered shares in Sherburne, we could drop off on the way to Norwich, so if you know of folks interested in this option please put them in touch with us.  

We are excited to have all five of our 2015 apprentices with us now - last week was their first week and they accomplished a lot including orienting to the farm, starting to erect our new hoophouse, seeding and potting up in the greenhouse and moving the first transplants outside to "harden off" before planting, building new tables for the greenhouse, reconfiguring some equipment, working on tractor maintenance, prepping our other hoophouse for planting and more.  Their bios and pictures are now up on our website, just click here to get to the right page, and scroll down a bit.

On Saturay,  April  18 at 10 am, Wendy will participate in an event at the Earlville Library called "Meet Your Local CSAs".  Folks from Quarry Brook Farms and New Moon Dairy will also be there to talk about their CSAs and answer questions.  

Common Thread won't be at the Poolville Market in April - we'll be back at the Hamilton Market in June.
