Dear Common Thread Members and Friends,

We have two new pick up sites!  One is the Pine Grove Health and Country Club in Camillus, a Thursday afternoon delivery.  The other is the Unitarian Universalist Church in Utica, on Tuesdays 4:00 -6:30 pm.  We are still working on a site in Norwich, but it's looking likely.

At the Utica UU Church site, we will try something new for a remote pick up site which we are calling Community Distribution Style.  We will offer an open bin system where members will select and weigh their produce from bins of vegetables. Someone from the farm will be on site to greet members, trade recipe ideas and answer questions.  We can offer a small share as well as the standard size at this site.  We will have a variety  of vegetables available in a swap area so that CSA members can tailor what's in their share.  We hope that this distribution style will build community and give members more flexibility.  Please let us know if you'd like to participate at this site and spread the word to others about this opportunity.
