Hello Common Thread CSA Members and Friends,
We are starting at the farmers markets this week! Tomorrow we will be at the Clinton Farmers Market from 10 am-4 pm and at the new Fayetteville Farmers Market from 3-7 pm. On Saturday, we will be at the Hamilton Farmers Market from 8 am-1 pm. We'll bring lettuce, kale, bok choi, radishes, spinach, baby lettuce, arugula, escarole, vitamin green, salad turnips, swiss chard, and scallions. It feels too busy to start at the markets, what with all the planting, trellising, cultivating, irrigating, fencing and more that needs to be happening but we have food that is ready to be eaten and hopefully eaters ready for lots of tasty greens.
We are now open to volunteers during harvests on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 7:30 am and noon. An rsvp is helpful.
One of our CSA members, Chris Hoffman, recently wrote an article about about the importance of local agriculture. It's nicely done and can be found at
