Hello Common Thread Farm Members and Friends,

We're getting ready to start up the greenhouse tomorrow!  We're starting a few days late to avoid several below zero nights.  There is no sign of spring yet but it has to come soon!  

Apprentices are starting to arrive!  Gabe and Stephanie start today and Sophia and Sarah in April.  We'll include some bios in our next farm update. We're wondering if anyone in the Madison/Hamilton area has any leads for a room for one of our apprentices in April?  Either a room in a house or a shared apartment situation would be great.  Our many of years of experience with apprentices has shown that farm apprentices tend to be caring, responsible, keep reasonable hours and are great and/or aspiring cooks.

We will be participating in the new, producer-only Fayetteville Farmers Market on Thursdays from 3-7, June-October, at the Town Center Mall on Rte 5.  To do this, we need to shift most of our box share deliveries to Tuesdays, so the days and times of most of the box share deliveries have changed and we will no longer be at the Syracuse Farmers Market on Tuesdays.  For the new days and times, please see the delivered share page on our website.  In addition to the Fayetteville Market, we have a couple new delivery sites this year: one in Cicero and one at Cafe Domenico in Utica.  We are also interested in adding a Rome and/or Oneida drop off to our Tuesday afternoon route if there is interest in that.  If you or someone you know is interested in receiving veggies in Rome or Oneida, please let us know.

We still have plenty of CSA shares left.  Please help us spread the word!  If you plan to sign up and haven't yet,  please let us know.  It would be very helpful for our planning purposes.
