Empowerment from Source Point Training | March 15, 2013

Greetings!

Yesterday we kicked off another session of our Certified Relationship Coach Training in Arizona!  We have a great group of coaches ready to take their coaching to the next level in focusing on creating intentional relationships, for themselves and their clients.

We've been saying for a couple of years just how the demand for coaches has been and continues to rise.  With the recent changes implemented and the global surveys that have been done by the International Coach Federation (ICF), the profession is gaining great appreciation by individuals and corporations alike.  If you are a coach who hasn't gotten your coaching business up and growing or you've been coaching but haven't completed a foundational coach training as yet, you will want to be sure to continue reading below.

Have a great weekend everyone while Lou and I enjoy turning up the heat on coaching intentional relationships - it was 90 degrees here in AZ yesterday!  We're having a sizzling hot and fabulous time!

Our best,

Barbara & Lou

Ready to Get Serious About Your Coaching Business?
It's Time to Get Back in the Game!
by Ginny Carter, Adminstrative Director

I hear from a lot of coaches who share that for a variety of reasons, they've allowed themselves to get sidetracked from seriously launching and growing the successful coaching business they dreamed of when they started their coach training years ago.  And until the last couple of years, it was challenging for most coaches to build their coaching business.

Today, the coaching profession is being seen as a highly skilled profession and the demand for coaches has never been greater.

According to the 2012 ICF Global Coaching Study, revenues from professional coaching has nearly doubled over the past few years: globally to $1.9 billion, $707 million in North America alone. The same report shows that in North America the average annual income has risen to about $50,000 with median annual incomes at about $30,000. Industry trends also show that top-earners are now earning in excess of $65,000 a year.

The rising demand is not only coming from corporations, but from individuals who want more productivity at the workplace and greater satisfaction from their work.  The rise in demand is fueled by report after report that shows how effective professional executive coaching really is.ICF Logo

Leadership Source is Heading to Los Angelos!

Our next Leadership Source training begins September 19-20 in Los Angelos, CA where you will take on 10 weeks of powerful leadership coaching to achieve YOUR goals. You bring your goals and we will bring the coaches and the leadership tools to assure your success.

Cal Newport, a professor at Georgetown University, recently shared in the Wall Street Journal that success requires more than just showing up. True standouts in organizations develop new skills to improve and that takes real commitment. We all reach plateaus where it can be comfortable, but in today's rapidly changing world in order to stay in the game you must be willing to invent a new game for yourself.

Source Point Leadership Coaches understand how to work with people over a 10 week coaching period to expand comfort zones - get out of the box - and take on challenges. When working with a Leadership Coach, you have the confidence of someone who will not let you fail - and will challenge you to go to the edge and take risks in order to learn new skills and behaviors.

Here are the top 3 reason why having a coach can benefit you:

  • A coach allows leaders to reflect about their decisions, and about themselves. A great many coaches used the term 'awareness' in describing the benefits of coaching.
  • Most of us usually avoid difficult truths. Coaching brings reality front and center. As one coach put it: "People don't always have someone to trust and tell the truth about where they need development."
  • People don't see themselves as others see them. A coach can guide a client to find replacements for behaviors that's aren't working.  As leaders themselves make changes, they can help their organizations deal with change more effectively.
