Jerry Hendel, CIH, CSP, joins our consulting team as an STC Senior Program Director located in our Oakland, CA office. Jerry has over 25 years' professional experience in the development and implementation of environmental, health and safety (EHS) programs. He has worked with clients in a wide variety of industries including biotechnology, pharmaceutical, healthcare settings, semiconductor, petrochemical, power generation and wine industries. Jerry has managed safety and industrial hygiene field evaluations for a variety of hazards; including chemical exposures, biological hazards, indoor air quality, noise and other physical hazards. He has created hazardous energy control procedures for a large biotechnology facility, including production and facilities equipment. 

 

Jerry has assisted clients in developing corporate safety strategies, emergency response plans, injury reduction programs, implementation of compliance driven safety programs, and safety metrics. Jerry has provided training related to safety and health topics including; emergency response, respiratory protection, biosafety, and Lock Out Tag Out. He compiled and submitted to County regulators a Hazardous Materials Business Plan for a facility with over 2000 chemicals. Jerry's broad experience, education and training enable him to provide best practices and unique approaches with clients to address their safety needs.

 

Jerry is a Certified Industrial Hygienist and a Certified Safety Professional.
