STC Expands Consulting Team

Joseph Hardman, PE, CHMM, CPEA, joins our consulting team as an STC Program Director located in Wilmington, DE. Joe has over 30 years of experience in EHS compliance auditing, providing technical support for EHS permits and licenses, and conducting risk assessments. He has served as the audit team leader for EHS compliance and management systems audits conducted on a global basis for operations in the chemical, pharmaceutical, consumer products, manufacturing and petroleum sectors. Joe has conducted third-party manufacturing and supplier reviews and provided due diligence support and project management oversight for corporate acquisitions and divestitures, including reviewing gap and compliance data, assessing permit and licenses, and meeting closure/decommissioning requirements. 

Joe's has extensive experience supporting facilities to streamline and validate Title V air emission and NPDES wastewater discharge data for enhanced EHS program compliance and sustainable solutions. He has developed and conducted EHS training programs for auditing, workplace and contractor safety; developed compliance templates and audit checklists; and developed guidance and company system standards and procedures. Joe has developed and presented ISO laboratory certification training programs, waste minimization, oil spill prevention program management, SPCC and emergency response plan development, training and implementation.

Prior to joining STC, Joe held EHS positions with Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, E.I. DuPont Company - DuPont Pharmaceuticals, and General Chemical Corporation. He has also worked for the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC), State of Delaware.

Joe has a B.S., Civil/Environmental Engineering from the University of Delaware, DE. He is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), a Licensed Professional Engineer (NJ, PA and DE) and a Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA) Health and Safety and is a member of the Auditing Roundtable.
