Time Change Sunday
Sunday morning at 2 am, we will switch to daylight savings time. So before you go to bed on Saturday night, move your clocks ahead one hour. Or if you're like Pastor Glenn, you will change all of your clocks on Saturday morning so you won't be surprised at bedtime. We hope to see all of you bright and an extra hour early Sunday morning.
The Tiburon Tidings eNewsletter
Greetings!

Holy Week is again upon us in a couple of weeks. This is the focal point of the Christian calendar and everything in the church builds to this important week in the lives of believers worldwide. From the original calling that Abraham received from God in Genesis 12, God's redemptive thread  runs throughout the Old Testament and into the New Testament to that first Good Friday when Jesus uttered those most important words, It is finished.

What exactly was completed that day on the cross? From the day that God expelled Adam and Eve out of the garden and placed guards at the Tree of Life to keep mankind from being lost for eternity, God has been at work to right the wrong that began with the entrance of sin in our world. Scripture says that He who knew no sin became sin on our behalf. Jesus' death on the cross put an end to spending an eternity of separation from God. Jesus came into our world to seek and to save that which was lost and the cross was the final act of that chapter.

But the story is not over. There are still men and women in our world that are drowning in their sin and are in need of the Savior. We are the hands and feet of Jesus. The action of our lives will be the only testimony that some will ever witness. Are you developing the relationships with people who need to know Jesus in the same personal way that many of us know Him?

One of the many ways in which you can introduce your friends to Jesus is helping them experience the reality of that last week of Jesus' human life on this earth. We will rehearse that last week in several ways during Holy Week.

We invite you to experience Jesus' last week beginning on March 24, Palm Sunday, as we share his triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Maundy Thursday will allow us to share in His last meal with his disciples. Good Friday will take us up that long
walk to Calvary where Jesus breathed his last and died for all mankind. This sober and solemn service will remind us that there simply has to be something more. And then as we gather on Easter Sunday, March 31, we will again celebrate the resurrected Christ, the hope of the whole world. You will not want to be anywhere else.
AAEO & FTWFU
aaeo
Sunday, March 10, kicks off our annual emphasis regarding home missions. We are going to do something a little different this year. On March 10, we will hear from Tom Stringfellow who directs the Feed Those Who Feed Us program throughout CA. FTWFU is the summer program working with migrant farm workers and their families in 30 migrant centers all over CA. We will determine our involvement with one of the centers for this summer after we hear from Tom.

Then on the 17th we will hear from Rich Johnstone, the Send City director for the Bay Area who relates to the North American Mission Board. One of the primary emphases of the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering is church planting and Rich will share about what's going on across the Bay Area on March 17.

Our goal of $7,500 will go to support both of these important causes. As we begin the week of prayer for North American Missions on Sunday, the prayer guide will direct you to pray each day next week for a variety of ministries and missionaries across our country.
Youth & Other Miscellaneous Stuff
ts Meet Tyler Sanders, one of our youth leaders. The youth will head to Sausalito this Friday night to participate in the Open Door ministry that provides a weekly meal to men and women in need of a hot meal and fellowship. The youth continue to prepare for their summer trip to Hawaii. On May 5th, we will celebrate Youth Sunday. Steve will be preaching and our youth will be assisting with all aspects of the service. After the late service, we will gather in the fellowship hall as they host an old fashion Hawaiian luau. Make plans to be in town for this important day.
Linda Rice Spring Concert Tour Begins

On April 19-20, our men will head to Cazadero for our annual getaway. The theme is Men of Faith: Satisfaction, Transformation, Fulfillment. Our guest speaker will be Don Dent who comes to us after 30 years of overseas mission service. Rob Collins will be leading our worship. The cost is $85 and you can pay on any Sunday morning by putting your check to TBC in the offering and clearly marking it for the men's retreat. You know this is where you need to be. Just do it!
Summer Sports Camp - Help Needed
kids
For this year's sports camp (June 24-28), a volunteer team from Oklahoma will travel to help both the morning camp for our kids and to reestablish the afternoon mission camp in the Canal area of San Rafael.

We need your help in hosting one or more students for about 10 days. You will be asked to provide them a space to sleep, breakfast, and a couple of dinners during their stay. We are hoping to use a large van to transport the team each day. If you can help, or have more questions, please notify Pastor Brice.

Raising Deep Roots
deep roots
Our own Susan Butler is a blogger. That's not one of those Irish dancers. It is someone who writes a column on the internet on subjects that allow for your response. We ran a portion of this article last month, but wanted to run part of it again in order for you to go the the RDR site and start reading on a regular basis. We hope you will check it out. Read on.

Over the course of the last year and a half, I have had the opportunity to partner with a dear friend in a little blog called RaisingDeepRoots. We have a shared vision of ministering to our respective church families through it. So here it is - an invitation to join us in the endeavor to be even just a little bit more intentional in our parenting at home when it comes to teaching the things of God and doing what we can to make our places where one just can't help but think of Jesus! We hope and pray that here you will find some encouragement, some tried and true resources, and some ideas for making scripture memory, Bible reading, and family devotional time meaningful, fun and fruitful. Even more exciting to us, is the thought that you would dialogue back with us. Share your successes, your ideas, your frustrations and your joys and aha! moments with us. Many of you have walked this path ahead of us and we crave your wisdom! It is our prayer that you will interact with us.

May you be blessed, equipped and encouraged. Susan
The Insanity of God
insanity
Have you read The Insanity of God yet? We want to encourage you to get a copy and start reading. Pastor Glenn's mother-in-law says it is the most important book I have read outside of the Bible. Miriam Burdick said I could not put it down. You can get your copy at various places. The print edition is available from Amazon or Christianbook.com for about $10. It is also available on Kindle & Nook. This is the other book you must read.
Wellspring Journey at TBC

A new group starts this Sat at 9 am at TBC that will meet twice a month. Lisa is open to men and teenagers joining the groups. Check out Wellspring Journey by clicking here. If you are interested in either the Thurs or Sat groups or have more questions, contact Lisa by clicking here.

Word of Encouragement
On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 'The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.' "  Then they remembered his words.

When they came back from the tomb, they told all these things to the Eleven and to all the others. It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the others with them who told this to the apostles. But they did not believe the women, because their words seemed to them like nonsense. Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. Bending over, he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves, and he went away, wondering to himself what had happened.
