We now are selling semi-dried husked sweet corn for deer bait and squirrel feed for $7.50 a bag which contains around a bushel. We still have a nice selection of pumpkins and a good supply of winter squash including butternut, acorn, buttercup, Heart-Of-Gold and Celebration. All squash can be purchased by the bushel (about 50 pounds) for $10.
We also have dug most of our potatoes this past week and are selling red, Yukon Gold and Kennebec potatoes for $10 a half bushel or 3 bushels for $25.
Our nice and sweet Rutabaga are priced at 59 cents a pound or $9 a half bushel.
Believe it or not we are still picking our SunSugar cherry tomatoes in our high tunnel, although they are ripening rather slowly. It won't be long before it gets so cold that they will freeze out in the High-Tunnel like they did in the unprotected field a few weeks ago..
We still have nice tomatoes which we picked right before that hard freeze a few weeks ago and are ripening nicely at a controlled temperature of 62-66F. We are still pulling our radishes which are as mild and tasty as ever.
For interest sake, you might want to take a look at our latest short video titled "Is it a Sea? Or is it an ocean? Or is it a lake?" If you read last week's newsletter you should be able to figure it out. To see this and our other videos see our
