What is your real goal in life? Analyze yourself: something within you is always prodding you to seek that "something else" which seems to be missing in your life. In the inner self of all human beings is a deep-seated need for achievement. Why? Because we have fallen from the Father's bosom. We have wandered away from our eternal home in God, and we long to regain that lost perfection.
That inner yearning of your soul has become so bedimmed by your ceaseless outer activities and habits of restlessness that you are rarely even conscious of what you truly want. But there is one desire that is common to every human being: happiness. To find lasting joy, that unalloyed Bliss which is God, is man's highest achievement; and he will never be satisfied until he attains it.
Sleep no more! Awaken yourself and realize the powers of the Spirit. Using these studies, and meditating regularly, you shall find such happiness, such answers to your problems! Don't be satisfied with words. Have actual experience of truth. Have Self-realization!
Remember, you cannot think or live at all without God's life and intelligence present in your body and brain. Therefore, the highest achievement is to know Him. By Self-realization, you will widen the channel of your life to receive the full inflow of His consciousness − His light and power and joy − in your own consciousness.

AWAKE: The Life of Yogananda Awarded "Best Film" and Strong Praise at Film Festival Openings

AWAKE: The Life of Yogananda, the feature-length documentary that has received glowing accolades from both SRF members and those new to the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda at several film festivals, has recently won awards at the Maui Film Festival and at the Illuminate Film Festival in Sedona, Arizona. At the Maui Film Festival it won the Audience Award in the category "Spirit in Cinema"; and at the Illuminate Film Festival it received the "Audience Award for Best Film." More than 1,000 people attended the screening of AWAKE at the Maui Film Festival, which took place on Friday, June 6. "Using a seamless mix of re-creations and fascinating true footage," states the festival's official review of the film, "this very even-tempered documentary takes its audience all the way through a saint's life, from his first sensations in the womb to that moment in 1952 when, having recited a poem to a large crowd at the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, he exited his body just like that....In between those events he changed the Western world."
