OLIVIA THE PIG VISITS CHILDREN'S MUSEUM OF NH JANUARY 31
One of modern children's literature's rambunctious but loveable characters will bring her own brand of sparkle and mischief to The Children's Museum of New Hampshire on Saturday, January 31. Olivia the Pig, star of the Olivia series of books written and illustrated by Ian Falconer, will be at the museum from 10 am and 2 pm to meet young fans as part of the popular Books Alive Children's Literacy Series. Join Dover Children's Home for their 7th ANNUAL DOVER CHILDREN'S HOME BOWL-A-THON on Sunday, February 15, 2015. Reserve a lane for a foursome for 90-minutes of bowling at 9am, 11am, 1pm, or 3pm. Friends of all ages are invited to participate. No fees for lanes or bowling shoes. Prizes will be awarded each session to the teams with the best theme wear, highest score, and most money raised. Garrison Players Arts Center Holds Open Auditions for "You Can't Take It With You"
Garrison Players will close their 2014-15 season with the classic farce "You Can't Take It With You" by Moss Hart and George S Kaufman. Open auditions are Tuesday, January 20 at 6:30pm and Saturday, January 24 at 1:30pm at the Garrison Players Arts Center on Route 4 in Rollinsford. Great Bay Community College Massage Therapy Clinic
Starting on January 20th, the general public can make an appointment for a 55 minute massage provided by a student enrolled in the College's Massage Therapy Associate Degree or Certificate Program. The cost of a 55 minute massage is five dollars for Great Bay Community College Students (with a valid student ID) and $30 for the general public. The clinic is located in room NW128 at Great Bay Community College's Portsmouth Campus at the Pease Tradeport. Maybe one of those goals is improving your English skills: speakers of other languages can check out the Advanced ESOL: Academic Reading courses; one in the afternoons 12:30-2:30pm starting January 27, and one in the evenings 6:30-8:30pm starting January 26.
