Holy Rosary Credit Union Funds Museum Exhibit Update
An old exhibit will be taking on new life at the Children's Museum of New Hampshire, thanks to a generous donation from Holy Rosary Credit Union (HRCU). The museum's Coin Maze, a popular spot where children drop in pennies and dimes to watch them tumble through obstacles, is being redesigned with the support of HRCU. The Coin Maze will be designed and fabricated by the Museum's Exhibits Director, Mark Cuddy, and will be unveiled to the public during February school vacation weeks. The not-for-profit Children's Museum of New Hampshire is located at 6 Washington Street in Dover. For more information, please call the museum at (603) 742-2002 or visit their website.

Snowshoe Men at the Wentworth House
Meet a company of men portraying veteran snowshoe soldiers from the French and Indian War era during a weekend of living history on January 17 and 18. Members of Captain John Harmon's Snowshoe Company of Rangers will be in residence at the Colonel Paul Wentworth House in Rollinsford, NH over the weekend to showcase the weaponry, equipment, clothing and tactics used by the frontier militia of the area in the 1750s. The circa 1701 Wentworth House is located on Water Street in Rollinsford and is maintained by the Association for Rollinsford Culture and History (ARCH). Tours of the house will also be offered during the event. A donation of $5 is suggested for adults; the event is free to children and ARCH members. All proceeds benefit the JV and Varsity Teams trip to Disney to compete in the National High School Cheerleading Championship in February. Good luck girls!

Snowshoe Men at the Wentworth House
The Friends of the Library are pleased to welcome New Hampshire folk artist and multi-instrumentalist Sarah Jane Nelson for a concert at the Dover Public Library on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 7pm. Sarah Jane is an old-time fiddler, guitarist, and vocalist who writes and sings songs in the Anglo-American ballad tradition and plays music from the Appalachian region. Join them for this lively evening of traditional American folk music. Friends of the Library programs are always free and refreshments will follow. Garrison Players Arts Center Holds Open Auditions for "You Can't Take It With You"
Garrison Players will close their 2014-15 season with the classic farce "You Can't Take It With You" by Moss Hart and George S Kaufman. Open auditions are Tuesday, January 20 at 6:30pm and Saturday, January 24 at 1:30pm at the Garrison Players Arts Center on Route 4 in Rollinsford. Art at Sole City Dance in January
The Berwick Art association has a group show at Sole City Dance Studio this month. This show offers a really diverse groping with photography, ceramic, painting and drawing - varied modes of expressive styles. The artists represented here are: Beth Wittenberg, Bob Farrell, Christy Bruna, Erika Carty, Bill Moore, Victoria Lloyd, Jim Munro, Jean Coughlin, Michael Bramlett, Jane Lissner, Anne Vaughan, Ruth Bleau, and Daryl-Ann Dartt Hurst. Goal Setting, Computer Literacy, and Drawing Classes to Start the New Year at DALC
What better way to start the new year than to take a class on Goal Setting at the Dover Adult Learning Center? Learn how to set clear goals in eight important areas of your life and then prioritize your list into a workable, enjoyable plan in this fast-paced workshop taking place on Monday, January 26, 7-9pm. Try the Intermediate Computer Literacy class, which will cover spreadsheets for financial and data management, PowerPoint presentations, and page layout/publication skills. Students can choose from a morning class starting January 21, or an evening class beginning January 26. Indulge your artistic side in Drawing with Watercolor Pencils! This course is intended to teach the student the correct way to use colored pencils in both dry and wet techniques on Wednesdays, 6-8pm, January 28-March 4.
