Dover Holiday Parade Celebrates Christmas Around the World
Sunday, November 30th, 2:30pm, Central Avenue, Downtown Dover
The Dover Holiday Parade, presented by the Dover Children's Center, will be filling downtown Dover with holiday cheer this Thanksgiving weekend. Spectators will line Central Avenue to check out participants decked out in this year's theme, Christmas Around the World, as well as the Parade's VIP - Santa Clause! "A Christmas Carol" Performance at the Dover Public Library December 2
On Tuesday, December 2 at 6:30pm, The Hampstead Stage Company will present an interactive version of Charles Dickens's "A Christmas Carol" in the Dover Public Library's Lecture Hall. This production will be performed by two professional actors, each playing multiple roles, and will also use children and adults from the audience. With realistic sets and costumes, and designed using extensive historical research, the Company's play is an original adaptation based directly on the literary classic. The one-hour performance will be followed by a question and answer session.
Celebrate NH Writers' Week at the Dover Public Library
If you love books or aspire to be a writer, the Dover Public Library is hosting a panel of published authors who will kick off NH Writers' Week, celebrating local authors. Each panelist will talk about his or her new book and answer your questions on Monday, December 1 at 6:30pm.

SECOND ANNUAL ARTISAN CELEBRATION AND FAIR DEC 13TH
This year's Second Annual Artisan Celebration and Fair has been expanded to showcase approximately 30-juried artisans from the states of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts. The Artisan Celebration and Fair will be held at Wentworth Greenhouses at 141 Rollins Road, Rollinsford, NH, from 9 am to 3 pm.Given an increased interest by area artisans to participate in the event, the Greenhouse is dedicating its Far East Greenhouse almost exclusively to this year's Fair. Music will be provided by The Salt River Band. The Second Annual Artisan Celebration and Fair is free and open to the public. Get To It!
Want to win $500 to help with your holiday shopping? In order to help local businesses and customers identify the featured Get To It! parking areas that you may not have thought of using when heading downtown, the Get To It! Downtown Marketing campaign is putting on a weekly scavenger hunt on Thursdays between 12 and 4 pm. Participants can enter to win the $25 Dover Dollars weekly prize and entry to win the $500 Grand Prize. This weekly scavenger hunt will run on Thursdays through December 18th and the mayor will draw the Grand Prize winner from all entries on December 22nd. *The Scavenger Hunt resumes next Thursday with a new clue which you can receive on next week's Peek of the Week. You can still enter to win the Grand Prize this week by going to the Color Bar*
All you have to do is tune in to z107, 95.3 the Bull, The Bay 98.7 FM, the SHARK 102.1/105.3 FM and WOKQ between 11 am and 12 pm on Thursdays, follow the Dover Chamber and City of Dover on Facebook and Twitter or visit the Get To It website to find out the clue every week. The clue will direct you to one of the supplemental parking areas in downtown Dover that is now available during the development process where a representative from the city will have an entry form for you to fill out and bring to a local business that may use the particular lot!

Dover Main Street Happenings
The Children's Museum Monthly Dollar Deal Night falls on December 5th. From 5:30pm to 8 pm everyone pays just $1 admission to come in and play. This coincides with Dover's tree lighting and Festival of Trees. Families are welcome to go in and out for the tree lighting and make the most of both events.

The Dover Turkey Trot is the 11th and final race of the New Dover Race Series. Dover Turkey Trot will be a USAT&F Certified race course and will be timed by Granite State Racing Services. The race will begin and end on Shaw's Lane next to Garrison School in Dover, NH. The first 200 registered runners will receive a FREE Dover Turkey Trot t-shirt! St. Thomas Aquinas High School Adult Education Class Announced
St. Thomas Aquinas High School offers a program of evening Theology classes for adults in the Seacoast region who desire to continue their education in the Catholic faith. The courses are designed for those who are interested in deepening their understanding of their Faith, Scripture and the Church. They may also be of interest to catechists who would like to further their understanding of the issues they teach to children, adolescents, or adults in the R.C.I.A. program. City of Dover Offering Valet Parking in Downtown Dover This Weekend
In anticipation of a busy holiday season for downtown Dover businesses, the City of Dover will provide complimentary valet parking service for users of the Orchard Street parking lot each Friday and Saturday starting on Nov. 21. The program will last five weeks, concluding on Saturday, Dec. 20. Visitors to any downtown business, including bars, restaurants and stores, are welcome to enjoy this free service. Atlantic Parking Services will have valets stationed in the loading area on Orchard Street, in front of the Orchard Street Chop Shop and The Brick House, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. each night. There is no cost to motorists. Tipping valet drivers is optional. This complimentary valet service is the part of the "Get to It!" initiative, which aims to keep visitors informed about available parking throughout the downtown during the construction of a new police station and public parking garage on Orchard Street.
