McConnell Tenants Collaborative Presents Community Halloween Event
The McConnell Tenants Collaborative will be hosting a community Halloween event for young children on Friday, October 31st from 9:30-11:00 at the McConnell Center. Children and their families from the community will have the opportunity to trick or treat around the McConnell Center and visit many of the organizations in the building. Seasonal snacks and drinks will be provided and the atmosphere will be family oriented and accommodating. The mission of the McConnell Center Collaborative is to connect people in our community with opportunities for health, education, recreation, art, culture and human services; to improve their well-being. Corner Stone VNA Presents "There's No Place Like Home" Annual Dinner
November 8, 6pm at the Oaks in Somersworth
Cornerstone VNA will be hosting their annual Dinner & Silent Auction on November 8, 2014 at The Oaks in Somersworth, New Hampshire. The event, "There's No Place Like Home", will take place at 6 pm and will feature a social hour followed by dinner and music. "This event is our most important fundraiser of the year," states Julie Reynolds, CEO. "It is a perfect venue to share some of the reasons why supporting the VNA is so important to our patients, their families and to the community." A Silent Auction will be featured throughout the evening and the proceeds will benefit the many grateful patients who receive extraordinary care from the Cornerstone VNA.

Dover Holiday Parade Seeking Volunteers
Want to march in the 2014 Holiday Parade, but don't have a float? Consider volunteering at the event! The 2014 Dover Holiday Parade, scheduled for Sunday, November 30th at 2:30pm and organized by the Dover Children's Center, needs 50 volunteers who will march in the parade carrying banners that recognize notable 2014 Dover award winners and parade sponsors. The Dover Turkey Trot is the 11th and final race of the New Dover Race Series. Dover Turkey Trot will be a USAT&F Certified race course and will be timed by Granite State Racing Services. The race will begin and end on Shaw's Lane next to Garrison School in Dover, NH. The first 200 registered runners will receive a FREE Dover Turkey Trot t-shirt! Garrison Players Arts Center Presents "12 Angry Men"
November 7 - 22; Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 3:00pm
Garrison Players Arts Center presents the classic American drama "Twelve Angry Men" by Reginald Rose, adapted by Sherman L Sergel. A young man stands on trial for the murder of his father. It looks like an open-and-shut case, until one juror begins to question the facts. Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for under age 18. HRCU is teaming up with Bernier Insurance to collect non-perishable food and personal care items for area pantries. All locations of HRCU and Bernier Insurance, located in Rochester, will be collecting these items from November 3rd until November 21st. Items from each location will then be donated to the following pantries the week of Thanksgiving: Gerry's Food Pantry, Dover Food Pantry, and Farmington Food Pantry.

JD Howard Dental Annual Candy Buy Back

Head on over to the Annual Halloween Candy Buy Back at JD Howard Dental. Children can bring their candy to 375 Sixth Street in Dover and for every pound of candy they turn in they will receive $1 and a cool new tooth brush! The candy turned in will then be shipped to our men and women overseas!
