First Annual Charity Bike Ride

The Monarch School of New England, the Rochester Main Street Program

and the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce host the first charity bike ride in Rochester, New Hampshire. On Saturday, October 11, the Monarch School of New England the Rochester Main Street Program and the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce, will host the first charity bike ride to be held in Rochester, New Hampshire. The ride will end with a party in downtown Rochester during the city's fourth annual "October Festival. For more information visit their website!


 

WHAT ARE YOU DOING THIS WEEKEND?

Come and see The Comedy of Errors, playing Wednesday October 8th through Sunday October 12th. UNH Department of Theatre and Dance presents this play happening in the Johnson Theatre. A raucous comedy of mixed up identity. Follow two sets of twins (both with the same name!) as they keep switching places without even knowing it! 2nd Annual ISM Memorial Bridge Road Race Comes to Portsmouth Columbus Day Weekend 

On Saturday, October 11th Seacoast Community School and Prescott Park Arts Festival are proud to present the 2nd Annual ISM Memorial Bridge 5k Road Race, part of the Chamber of Commerce's  Run Portsmouth series. Game on in the fight against breast cancer! 

On October 11th the Portsmouth Christian Academy Girls Volleyball Team will be hosting a Dig Pink Tournament at PCA. All proceeds benefit the Side-Out Foundation, which in turn awards grants to medical research organizations and entities dedicated to providing patient services to breast cancer patients and their families. Your participation gives the volleyball community the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of all breast cancer patients. Admission is $5. The game starts at 6pm. Pear Tree Gifts Hosts  Author Stefanie Jolicoeur

Pear Tree Gifts will be hosting local Dover resident and author Stefanie Jolicoeur this Saturday from 3:00-4:00. Stefanie has written a children's book, Mousamus - A Gladiator's Tail and will be at Pear Tree Gifts this Saturday. Stefanie will read it for you and personally sign a copy for you if you choose to purchase one. They'll also have a couple games and snacks too. It's sure to be fun so make sure you stop by! 

Bicycle History with Zip Zamarchi

Masonic Open House

The Mounted Unit is funded entirely through donations so this fundraiser during their Open House serves as their main event to support the horses for the year.  The fundraiser will occur during the Open house..a game of Barn Bingo. Dover Moose Benefit Breakfast

October 19, Dover Moose Lodge from 8-11 

There will be good food and raffles. Tickets are available at the Dover Chamber of Commerce office or at the door for $5.00 each. Although Kelley's Row  is officially closing for good, proceeds of the breakfast will benefit Blue Latitudes and all the employees of both restaurants displaced by the sewage overflow.Donations of gift baskets or gift certificates from downtown business for the raffle are welcome and volunteers to wait tables and clean-up are needed.  Contact Peg Purcell at 749-0555 to donate or volunteer. Please come together as a community and show how Dover residents can stand together to help those affected by this unfortunate situation.

Attend Northeastern Ballet Theatre's production of Dracula on Saturday, October 18 at 7pm at the Kingswood Arts Center in Wolfeboro! Exciting Fall Classes at Dover Adult Learning Center

 The fall semester at Dover Adult Learning Center runs through December, so there are plenty of classes still to come! Check out Zentangle on Saturday, October 18; it's an easy-to-learn method of creating beautiful images from structured patterns. We also have Fall Floral Design, Wednesdays October 15-29, a hands-on course that offers the chance to learn basic floral arranging techniques; you'll create a new arrangement each week to take home. The writing class, Making New Discoveries with Writing Prompts, now running Saturdays October 18-December 6, spends each week working with fun writing prompts designed to unshackle your creative psyche; it's intended to jump start works in progress as well as spark new work, and is good for writers of all levels.For more information on these and other classes, or to register, please visit their website or call 603-742-1030.
