The Children's Museum of NH is celebrating one of its most popular activities with a day of hands-on, high-flying fun. Slingshots and Catapults Day will be held on Friday, August 15 from 11 am - 3 pm at the museum in Dover.There will be places to test out and tweak these creations, and museum educators will lead outdoor demonstrations, weather permitting) at 11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm and 2 pm. All catapult and slingshot activities are included in regular paid admission and are free for Children's Museum members. No reservations are required and activities will be available throughout the 4-hour period.

Celebrate the Grand Opening of their new location at 53 Washington St. in downtown Dover!  Join them on Tuesday, August 12 from 11am-1pm. Take a studio tour, meet the instructors, enjoy refreshments, yoga games, raffles and more.

Meet Layne Case, author of the "Charlie" books.  Layne will speak about her experience as a published children's author as well as a publisher of other children's books written by her students.  Joining Layne will be 13 year old Author Keeley Shea Patricia McCabe.  Her book "It's Not Always as It Seems.  A Story About Dyslexia" explains the challenges of dyslexia, something Keeley knows very well.
