Golf Week Ads
There will be a full color commemorative program booklet for attendees to the Death On The 16th Fairway, "Who Is Mr. X?" production at the Media Theatre. It will include information about the play, the performers, the featured charities, the theatre, and it will also provide an advertising opportunity to promote Media and the surrounding areas to potentially thousands of out-of-town visitors for the U.S. Open. For more information, click here. Deadline for submission of ads is May 26, 2013. Advertising space is limited and is first-come, first-served.  

As an added bonus, Jim 'Sports' Kelly will do a voice recording that could be used for a radio, TV or web ad commercial for the winning company/business in a special drawing only for playbill advertisers.
Play Ryan's Way
Additionally, a golf-themed game is being designed which will feature Media businesses as "holes" where customers receive a score when they make a purchase.  The game will run through the month of June and contestants who submit a scorecard with 9 different holes filled out will be entered in a drawing for prizes.  The more businesses that participate, the more opportunities the customer players will have to complete their scorecards and for Media to showcase how much variety it has to offer!  Email mba@mediaborough.com to signup! 
Billboard Advertising
The MBA is pleased again to offer Media businesses the opportunity to purchase digital billboard advertising.  Unlike last year when we pre-purchased a large block of single weeks, this year we will contract with Steen to purchase blocks individually for the needs of each business.  As before, each business would work directly with Steen in their plans for their billboard design and message to be displayed within a Media-branded border.  Please let us know if you are interested, how many weeks you are considering and when, and we'll connect with Steen to confirm availability and reserve the slots.  Here are a few reminders:
  • The 14 ft. X 48 ft. digital billboard is on I-95 Northbound near the Essington Exit (Motel 6)
  • The leased time slot would show at least 1,250 times per day (8 seconds per minute for 24 hours/day)
  • The billboard will be seen by 100,000+ commuters per day
Italian Opera in Media
Just a reminder that the Jago opera is coming to Media May 30, 31 and June 1 at the Media Theatre!  This a prestigious and exciting event for Media, and a great promotional opportunity for Media business. Gift bags will be given to the first 100 tickets sold for each performance as well as event sponsors and their guests.  Click here for details.
US Open Golf Events

With the US Open poised to be held this year at Merion Golf Club, Media is gearing up to welcome and play host to thousands of fans estimated to arrive in the Philadelphia area.  With many coming into the area early that week to watch the practice rounds, Media will be adding two special nights of Dining Under the Stars to draw them to town Monday through Wednesday.  With this approach, Media will be offering an established event to compete with the promotions being offered by towns and entities in the surrounding area.  And Media is very fortunate to be partnering with the PGA who will be bringing some golf-themed games and running those events each evening with PGA golf pros.  

 

Anchoring the week will be the murder mystery play "Death on the 16th Fairway" at the Media Theatre, June 5-16 featuring narration by Jim "Sports" Kelly of ESPN and the Golf Channel.
