Just Arrived

Holy Moly look at that colour!
Holy Moly Superbells are a great new variery of Million Bells from Proven Winners that have vibrant fuchsia and yellow striped flowers. The mounding trailing habit of this colourful annual and the long blooming period (now until frost) make it perfect for containers and hanging baskets. And the best part about this new annual - NO DEAD-HEADING NECESSARY!!

Expert Tip of the Week

It's HOT out there!
We're finally getting some hot weather and that's great for plant growth. But remember to water, water, water those newly planted plants. Even the drought tolerant plants need to be well watered the first season or two.
Because of this heat you'll see a lot of new growth on your plants. So it's important to keep everything well fertilized right now. If you want an easy way to do this, consider using Miracle-Gro Shake 'n' Feed - a slow release fertilizer you'll only have to shake on a couple times a year! And right now it's on sale for $14.98 (reg. $19.99).
Note: If you just purchased an annual that was in the greenhouse and put it outside, it's possible the plant could get sun-scorched on the leaves. This slight browning will go away. Just remember to water and fertilize your plant regularly.
What's Blooming at Canadale

This week at Canadale our large tropical plants are turning the garden centre into an island paradise! The Tropical Hibiscus are in full bloom, the Oleander has begun flowering with lots of clusters of colourful flowers, the annual Black-Eyed Susan Vine is in full bloom with its cheery yellow or orange flowers, the Passion Flower Vine has several distinct and dramatic colourful blooms & the Morning Glory Vine is full of romantic blossoms! And that's just the beginning!
Come in to see our full selection of large tropicals.
