We've been super busy this week at the Garden Centre bringing plants up from the nursery and receiving stock from local growers to ensure we have a great selection of plants for you to choose from! As you can see from the plants featured in our flyer this week, the store is filling up with trees, shrubs, evergreens, perennials and annuals and we're ready for planting to begin!
April 22 is Earth Day, a special day when we celebrate this amazing planet we live on and think about what we, as individuals, can do to improve the environment. This year, consider grabbing the family and celebrating by going for a walk or bike ride (instead of a drive), spending time outside (not in), learning more about your neighbourhood recycling plan or planting a tree! Adding edibles to the ornamental garden is an extremely popular gardening trend for 2016. Adding vegetables and fruit to the landscape adds function, texture and beauty to your garden. But adding edibles can also be fun!

We are continuing an exciting series in our Canadale Kids Club to help our children learn about growing their own food. Do your children know where the food on their plates comes from? Help them discover the joy of growing their own food by bringing them out this weekend.
This Week - Radish Heads
Some of the food you'll learn about growing are:
*Potatoes
*Salad bowl vegetables
*Beans - green, yellow & purple
*Herbal Tea plants
*Tomatoes
*Flowers - just because every garden needs some
*Vines- pumpkins, squash or watermelon
Watch our newsletters to hear about the activity every weekend and
From May 9-13 Canadale will be OPEN during some minor construction at the Railway Crossing near Parkside High School.
To get to Canadale driving towards Port Stanley, go past the detour signs (yes the road is open!) and simply take the 2 minute detour right at the tracks via Lyndale Ave (right before the tracks) and loop around the corner to Canadale! There's no need to take the marked detour route which is much longer. If you're coming from Port Stanley, just drive straight through to Canadale.
We'll be waiting for you!
We appreciate your patience and continued support during this week!
Happy spring!
We hope to see you soon.
