Positive Prayer for World Peace*
Today, I recognize that peace is eternally available to me and to the world. I stand firm in my faith that peace prevails. I turn away from any idea of war, unrest, violence or abuse. Instead, I recognize the peace of God within every individual, world leader and nation. I declare that the gift of peace has been given to all peoples and that it bursts forth in all its glory to heal the soul of the individual and of the Earth. There is a rebirth in consciousness welling up today, and it is one that shepards in a new era of peace. I believe that as a people of the Oneness, we are united in love, peace and harmony. All things are possible with God, and I open my mind to receiving the influx of peace. Peace is within me and within all of humankind. Prayer: The Ultimate Transformation

Are you saddened by world events? Many people are feeling heavy-hearted, helpless and powerless over seemingly negative forces. We have seen violence in our society, economic uncertainty and health issues. If you're like most people, you are also disappointed at our government's actions. Specifically, President Barack Obama has recently signed the "Monsanto Protection Act" into law - a law that actually allows Monsanto to override U.S.federal courts on the issue of planting experimental genetically engineered crops. The bottom line? Even if those experimental crops are found to be dangerous to our health, the U.S. government now has no judicial power to stop them from being planted and harvested. President Obama signed this bill regardless of the heartfelt requests of more than 250,000 Americans who requested that he veto it.
It's no wonder that many people feel a sense of hopelessness. However despite appearances, the Earth is in an Ascension process and is moving to higher vibratory states. We are all part of the uplifting of the Earth, so now, more that ever, your prayers are needed. Each prayer is like a light that shines in the heart of God.
A good thing to remember at trying times is that:
No matter what happens in the visible world of appearances, the invisible good of God is always present.
So when we see something destructive happening, we know God is present regardless of the visible. Yes we can go past the visible and see the invisible. How? Praying is one way to really feel the presence of God no matter what the outer appearance. As we pray, we see the visible effects of God in the outpouring of love, in the healing, in the coming together of hearts. Our prayers are powerful agents of healing today and always.
For these reasons, we need to pray unceasingly - not just for ourselves but for the healing of our planet. When we pray, it's good to remember these points:
- God is a perfect pattern of infinite good, existing everywhere as and in all of creation. There is no spot where God is not.
- God is the One Power, One Creator, the only Source of all creation.
- You are an individualization of God, made of God essence or God stuff, the same perfect pattern.
- Creative Law, which is an aspect of God, acts on our word (and the belief behind it) manifesting as our life. We are a channel through which God creates. Want to change your life? Change your belief.
- Our beliefs create our life and empower our prayers.
Joel Goldsmith says, Prayer "is necessary only because a belief in humanhood has become ingrained in individual consciousness."
So the next time the effects of human limitation appears, pray and lift your consciousness and the energy around you to a higher vibration. Infuse your prayer with conviction, faith, spiritual practice, the expectancy of good, and tending to your beliefs. You are not helpless or powerless. You are a powerful co-creator with God.
