Call for volunteers

 

During the month of April 2015 the VAS will be assisting the Bixby Memorial Library museum room catalog project. The Bixby Library is located at 258 Main St. Vergennes, VT. The focus of this work is the inventory of Native American artifacts. Thousands of Vermont pre-contact artifacts are in this collection.

 

The scope of work involves measuring, weighing, photographing, data entry and labeling artifacts. VAS participation will be limited to Saturdays April 11, 18, 25 from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M.

 

Space is limited so the number of participants must be limited to a maximum of six individuals. If you are interested in helping out please contact Al Oliver aloahtsi8@aol.com or call (802) 324-6328. Please get in touch soon if you are interested, even if you are only available for a limited participation.

Spring Meeting
Save the Date

The VAS Spring Meeting will be held on June 6th at the President Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site in Plymouth Notch.
The program is currently under development. The full agenda will be available soon.
Please save the date and plan to join us at one of the state's most important historic sites.
New Web Site

The new VAS Web site is now under development. We hope to have it up and running in a few weeks. 
We apologize for the problems on our current site and look forward to an easy and glitch-free transition.
