SCO Alumni in Spotlight at AOA

SCO enjoyed an active presence at the recent Optometry's Meeting hosted by the AOA in Boston. SCO Board of Trustees Chair Steven Reed, OD '95, pictured above at the far right, became the first SCO Board member in recent years to be elected as an AOA Trustee. SCO Alumni Council member Fred Farias III, OD '87, pictured at the lower left with J. Bart Campbell, OD '87, and SCO President Lewis Reich, OD, PhD, was honored as the AOA's OD of the Year. At Essilor's 25th Varilux Student Bowl, Derek Hennig, '17, tied for third place and SCO's students won the competition's Spirit Award, meaning that next year, SCO will star in the "rules video" that plays before the competition. A great mix of alumni and friends, pictured above, also attended SCO's Friday evening reception. Visit SCO's photo galleries to see more event coverage.
