Message from the BALIF Board
|
Happy New Year! I hope that everyone had a joyous and restful holiday season and I wish everyone a smooth transition back to the daily routine of your respective lives and offices. For me, the New Year always represents a time for reflection and a time to set goals for the next twelve months. The LGBT community has much to be thankful for in 2014. Yet, we must be resolute in continuing to strive for equality and justice, not just for society at-large but also within and across our own diverse community. As lawyers and legal professionals we are uniquely qualified to offer our skills and expertise to advance these aspirations.
At BALIF, we have many exciting events planned for 2015, which will mark our 35th anniversary! This year, as you've come to expect, BALIF will hold our Annual Gala, monthly happy hours, and other dynamic networking and social events. In addition, in 2015 the BALIF Board of Directors will be revealing the result of a special project that will give our members and the legal community an all new opportunity to support BALIF and to turn the goals above into a reality. Stay-tuned!
I look forward to seeing you at the next BALIF event and please feel free to contact me if there is anything BALIF can do to better serve you or our community.
