Prior to his appointment, he had served as Governor Brown's Executive Secretary for Legal Affairs, Administration and Policy since 2011, and also worked with Governor Brown as Attorney General. BALIF's 33rd Annual Gala:
Come Celebrate Being Simply Fabulous!!

gala 2013

BALIF's 33rd Annual Gala celebrates that we are Simply Fabulous! There has never been a better time to be LGBT in this country than right now. Almost every day, we are inspired by hopeful news from some aspect of our society that is recognizing LGBT equality- an unprecedented tidal wave of LGBT candidates won their electoral races; marriage equality was affirmatively recognized at the ballot box in three states; an effort to discriminate against our community was rejected in a fourth; and the military now permits lesbian and gay service members to serve openly with honor! And at his inauguration, President Obama inspiringly spoke of "all of us" being equal, but that "our journey is not complete until our gay brothers and sisters are treated like anyone else under the law."

Come celebrate being Simply Fabulous with BALIF on Friday March 15, 2013.

Here's a preview of what we've been prepping for celebrities like you...

  • Pre-Parties at Bar 333 (Le Meridien Hotel) and Blanc et Rouge
  • Formal red carpet welcome & paparazzi photographers
  • Photo booths for instantaneous memories
  • Scrumptious gourmet food stations (see below)
  • Decadent desserts and espresso carts
  • Dazzling DJ and dance floor

For Those Who Like A Challenge.....

(And who doesn't??)  Refer as many members as possible to help BALIF reach - and surpass - its goal of 1,000 members. The more members we have, the stronger our voice! And BALIF's voice needs to be as strong as possible with historic events such as our Amicus Brief in the Prop 8 case on the horizon.

So, to sweeten the deal, we're giving away four (4) Gala Tickets which includes VIP Admission, and public recognition at BALIF's 33rd Annual Dinner and Awards Gala--Simply Fabulous! Event.

The rules are simple: whoever refers the most people to BALIF - and becomes a member - wins! You have from now until Friday, March 8, 2013, to get potential members to sign up on BALIF's website. You must refer a minimum of 10 people. Make sure your referral notes that you referred him/her to membership, or it won't count for you. March 8, 2013 is the deadline!
