The Junior Board of Family Services of Westchester (FSW) works to raise FSW's visibility among the younger population of Westchester County, with the goal of promoting the mission of FSW through educational, fundraising, and service initiatives.

The Junior Board closed 2012 with a bang and started 2013 with great momentum. Through our social, volunteer and fundraising activities, we worked with dedication to raise awareness about FSW's mission, and further enrich the lives of families and individuals in need. Thank you to all who attended our fall fundraiser, Dream Big! That event, with the help of Brandon Steiner and Steiner Sports, raised an unprecedented $9,500 to benefit FSW and our Youth Enrichment Fund. The grants awarded from our Fund touched many lives. From sending a child on a first bus trip, to helping prevent teen pregnancy, we are so grateful to our friends and supporters for their volunteer and financial contributions.
We appreciate your continued support and commitment to the Junior Board, and to helping us make a real difference.

Grant Success Story: Junior Board Funds Teen Women's Support Group,
A grant made possible by the Junior Board of FSW's Youth Enrichment Fund allowed eight young women suffering from Severe Emotional Disturbance (SED) to meet biweekly this past fall with FSW program coordinators and discuss teen issues, reproductive health and substance abuse prevention. The program culminated with a trip to Broadway to see "Bring it On: The Musical," a show with positive messages about race relations, trust and self-acceptance. Full story | |

Thursday, May 16, 7:00 pm
Toast a great effort with this social evening at Tarry Wine to raise funds toward the Youth Enrichment Fund. A percentage of wine purchased will go directly to enriching the lives of the children and youth through FSW programs, including special programs, field trips, and service projects. Grab a friend, bring a date, or come solo, and make a night of it all for a great purpose! | | |

Junior Board Hosts FSW's Therapeutic Foster Care Holiday Party
In December the Junior Board hosted a fun and festive holiday party for the children, foster parents, and staff of FSW's Therapeutic Foster Care program. Junior Board Volunteers at FSW's Sharing Shelf
On February 5 we hosted our second annual evening at the Sharing Shelf where the Junior Board folded and sorted clothes that will be distributed to local youth in need.
