Friends 4 Recovery Whole Health Center is a non-profit organization where individuals with lived mental health experiences can take ownership of their own recovery. We offer recovery focused classes, a variety of groups (including support groups), and one-on-one Wellness Coaching/Peer Counseling for Chesterfield County and the greater Richmond area.
At Friends 4 Recovery all members of our staff are individuals who are living in mental health recovery. The Executive Director will be someone who has lived experiences of mental health crisis and has a strong background in recovery education (CELT, WRAP, and Peer Support Specialist preferred).
We are looking for an individual who has strong communication and organizational skills and has the qualifications and experience to lead Friends 4 Recovery in all aspects of running a nonprofit.
The Executive Director will be responsible for a variety of duties, including providing
community outreach, performing administrative tasks, maintaining financial oversight,
overseeing program and funds development, and skillfully supervising and managing a staff.
Additionally, the Executive Director will maintain an atmosphere of wellness and support at the Center that allows the members to feel empowered as they move forward on their road to recovery.
Please note that we intend to expand the budget and community service capacity of Friends 4 Recovery significantly, particularly regarding employment opportunities for people with lived experiences of mental health crisis. The successful candidate should have a proven track record of skillfully and sustainably growing programming.
Salary:$36,000
Benefits: Health insurance with dental

VOCAL To Offer WRAP Facilitator Training - Posted 3.17
VOCAL is preparing to offer WRAP facilitator training July 7 through July 11.
Trainers will be Bonnie Neighbour and William Hart. The location is yet to be determined.
Peers who have a WRAP plan and an intention to offer WRAP groups in their communities are invited to apply to receive the training.
Cost for the training, lodging, meals, and training manual is $1500.00

The ENDependence Center of Northern Virginia (ECNV) is a 30 year-old nonprofit organization that provides direct services and advocacy and supports individuals with disabilities to live independently and maximize their potential. We provide peer mentoring, life skills education, travel training and assistance with Medicaid and other programs.
ECNV is currently accepting applications for the "Communications Specialist" position. The incumbent will present ECNV's mission, values and services to its constituents and the public through electronic and print media and outreach. This position also manages media relations and supervises data collection and management. This is a full-time, exempt
position and reports to the Director of Community Services.
Applicants should have a successful and demonstrable record of website design and content management; print media design and production; outstanding and polished writing and editing skills; and enthusiasm for promoting and advancing opportunities for people with disabilities. An understanding of web and other accessibility guidelines for individuals with visual, auditory and other disabilities is key to our work. At least two years of related experience in a business environment are desired and a portfolio of work should be available for ECNV's review. A demonstration of writing, editing, design, social media and web skills will be part of the interview process.
ECNV provides a supportive work environment. We are located at the Courthouse Metro. The salary range for this position, depending on qualifications and experience, is $37,500 to $45,000. We offer excellent benefits, including paying full health care coverage and three weeks of paid vacation annually.
