River Rafting in Jarabacoa

Tucked away in the tallest mountain range in the Caribbean lies the town of Jarabacoa, which means "Land of Waters". Included among these waters is the Yaque del Norte River, the second longest in the country. As it winds down the mountain, it provides an exciting ride for those with the courage to strap on a lifevest.

With experienced guides, even the novice can enjoy the thrill of white-water rafting, and get a view of the island's beauty that most people never see - from inside mountain caverns.

Just 2-hours from Puerto Plata by car, or by private flights from Punta Cana, Jarabacoa is within reach. The IVI DMC˛ team can handle all the details for your group on this exciting adventure.

April 2014

The Dominican Republic has been receiving visitors since 1492 when the first vacationer "Christopher Columbus" fell in love with the island and pronounced the famous phrase, "The most beautiful land human eyes have ever seen". Since then, the Dominican Republic has developed into a modern, exciting tourist destination. With miles of pristine beaches, and adventurous activities, the DR offers something for every interest, and is gaining momentum as a Meeting, Incentive, Conference and Exhibition destination. Here are some of our favorites places in the country.

Cayo Arena at Punta Rusia
Paradise Island
One of the jewels of the Dominican Republic
This tiny key located in the north-west of the country lies within a protected park. Known as both Cayo Arena and Paradise Island, it made CNN's listing of "World's 100 Best Beaches", coming in at #34. This hidden beauty is surrounded by coral reef and offers crystal clear waters, spectacular snorkeling and pristine white sand. Reachable only by boat, it is an unspoiled and secluded treasure waiting to be discovered.
El Cortecito Beach
Life's a Beach -
Enjoy one of the country's most popular beaches by simply throwing down a towel and taking in the seven colors of the sea. Or, for the more adventurous, try parasailing, snorkeling, fishing and a host of other water sports. Located near Punta Cana, there is easy access to shopping, restaurants and night life, all on shores of the majestic Caribbean Sea.
Bahia De Las Aguilas - Jaragua National Park
Island Treasure
Carefully guarding the island's treasures, the National Park system protects a full 25% of the country's land area. This particular treasure is well off the beaten path. Bahia de Las Aguilas is a remote place, but through our specialized services, your group will be able to enjoy the unspoiled wonders of the country's eco-system!

Whether it's in the Dominican Republic, or any of our 40 fantastic destinations, we look forward to working with you to make your next Group Travel event a truly memorable experience.
