Costa Rica is a small country but it has the richest flora and fauna in the world. Every year millions of tourists come to Costa Rica, not only to go to the beach but also to experience the pristine nature in the world famous national parks. The five most notable ones are listed here.

Tortuguero

This remote national park with its highly branched river canals on the north Caribbean coast is world famous. 

Arenal Volcano

Arenal Volcano is the most active volcano in the world and has the perfect cone shape. 

Manuel Antonio

Manuel Antonio is a small national park located in the central pacific and offers beautiful white sandy beaches. 

Rio Pacuare

Rio Pacuare is the best river when it comes to rafting.

Costa Rica consolidates positioning in meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions market
The Costa Rican Tourism Board (ICT) has promoted, consolidated and marketed the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) tourism niche that Costa Rica offers. In 2013, ICT led a strong promotion strategy that included its participation in five of the most important international MICE tourism fairs worldwide. These include IMEX Frankfurt in Germany, AIBTM Chicago and IMEX Las Vegas 2013 in the USA, and most recently at ICOMEX in Mexico in November. ICT also participated at EIBTM Barcelona in conjunction with 16 Costa Rican tourism companiesCosta Rica has worked hard in the development of promotion and marketing strategies that guarantee the country's positioning in this important tourism niche.
