Monthly Electronic Update from schools within the Bush High School feeder pattern
September 2016
In the Zone!
Dear FBISD Parents and community members,

Fort Bend ISD is pleased to present our very first issue of the Bush High School feeder pattern newsletter! We have created this newsletter to promote unity among students and families within the Bush High School attendance area. Each month, In the Zone! will feature an informative article that families can use to help inspire and equip their students for successful futures, as well as news and announcements on key events and stories specific to individual campuses.

You are receiving the Bush High School edition based on your home address. However, we understand that many of our students attend academies, and others may be attending campuses due to transfers. If that is the case, or if you just want to sign up to learn about what is going on in other feeder patterns, you are invited to visit www.fortbendisd.com/inthezone. Grandparents and community members are also invited to sign up for newsletters, including our District-wide newsletter, FBISD exPress.

Please enjoy this first issue of BHS In the Zone!

Sincerely,

Charles Dupre
Fort Bend ISD - Connecting Students to Success
It's no secret that our number one priority at Fort Bend ISD is our students. So as we kick off a new school year, we want to make sure parents, students and the community know how Fort Bend ISD is connecting students and families to success.

Connecting Parents
Sometimes helping parents first is key in driving student success, and the District has a number of ways we give parents the tools they need. And with the start of the new school year in full effect, getting your children back into the school routine can be tough.
Editor's Note: Please accept our apologies if you have received the wrong feeder pattern newsletter. Due to boundary changes that went into effect prior to the 2015-16 school year, records for current 11th and 12th grade students may differ from other students in the same household. Duplicate email addresses were removed in order to prevent a family from receiving more than one email. As a reminder, if you have any questions, please call (281) 634-1043 to verify your home's current attendance zones.
Bush High School Theatre chosen to attend Edinburg Fringe Festival
Congratulations to Bush High School Theatre for being selected to participate in Edinburg Theatre Fringe Festival. BHS Theatre will participate in the festival in August 2017 as part of the American High School Theatre Festival (AHSTF). Of the more than 2,000 applications, AHSTF selects only 150 programs to participate each year based on repertoire, community service and program merit.
