Achieving their full potential: Leadership Development and Special Education Program Changes
A message to the community from Superintendent of Schools Dr. Charles Dupre

Leadership development - at all levels - is one important component of the District's Core Beliefs and Commitments, and a priority for our Board of Trustees. Late last month, the Board approved the administration's staffing recommendations for the 2016-17 school year, including a new Director of Student Leadership Experience who will guide leadership development at our elementary and middle schools through strong student-led organizations such as student councils, and opportunities that include Student Leadership 101.

Calling all Leaders: Deadline to apply for FBISD Student Leadership 101 is May 13
Each year, the Board of Trustees invites FBISD 10th grade students who are interested in leadership development during their junior and senior year to apply for participation in the Junior Student Leadership program. Through a series of seven monthly seminars, selected participants explore their personal roles in community and school leadership, as well as volunteer service.
