Four FBISD Academic Decathlon teams are state-bound!
Fort Bend ISD congratulates the four teams (representing Clements, Dulles, Elkins and Ridge Point High Schools) that are advancing to the state Academic Decathlon Meet after earning impressive scores at their region contests. The teams will compete at state on February 26-28 in Irving (for 6A teams, including Clements and Dulles) and San Antonio (for 5A teams, which includes Elkins and Ridge Point).

Fort Bend ISD observes WATCH Week, March 7-11
Fort Bend ISD students and staff will observe WATCH Week, March 7-11, by participating in various heart-healthy campus activities and events, including Health and Fitness nights led by PE teachers and other staff to provide students and their families with information and activities to promote good health.

New Feature in Skyward Family Access Coming Soon
Fort Bend ISD will soon introduce a new feature in Skyward Family Access that will allow parents and guardians to choose how they would like to receive communications from the District. More information to come.

Public invited to FBISD's STEAM Fest, Saturday, Feb. 27
 Fort Bend ISD will host a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) Fest on Saturday, February 27, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Travis High School (11111 Harlem Road, Richmond 77406), and the public is invited to attend. The free event will give participants of all ages an opportunity to enjoy various "hands-on" learning experiences as they visit 20 activity booths led by FBISD teachers.

Elementary Science Fair Awards Reception, Feb. 24
To honor winners of the District Elementary Science Fair, Fort Bend ISD will host an awards receptions on Wednesday, February 24 at 6:00 p.m. in Wheeler Field House (16403 Lexington Blvd., Sugar Land 77479).

Spring Educational Enrichment Expo, Feb. 25
High school students and their parents are invited to attend the 2nd annual Spring Educational Enrichment Expo (E3), hosted by the Mu Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. in partnership with Fort Bend ISD's College and Career Readiness Department. This free college fair is themed: "E3 - To the Moon and Back" and will give participants an opportunity to learn about academic programs, admission requirements, scholarships, funding college and the enrollment process.

Community invited to FBISD's Dance Showcase, Feb. 29
 Fort Bend ISD's Department of Fine Arts will present the District's Annual Dance Showcase on Monday, February 29, and the community is invited to attend. The Dance Showcase highlights the originally choreographed works of students in the dance programs at each FBISD high school. The event will be held at Wheeler Field House (16403 Lexington Blvd., Sugar Land 77479), beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Annual Pass-In-Review to spotlight District's JROTC
 Fort Bend ISD's Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) will host its 18th Annual Pass-in-Review on Wednesday, April 20 at 7:00 p.m. at Mercer Stadium (16403 Lexington Blvd., Sugar Land, 77479). The event will include drills from more than 1,000 cadets.
