Nearly 60 FBISD football players sign contracts to play college and university ball

Fort Bend ISD celebrated the success of nearly 60 high school football players, who confirmed their decision to play college/university ball by signing contracts during a National Signing Day ceremony hosted by FBISD's Athletics Department and the Professional Football Players Mothers Association.

Fort Bend ISD names its District Elementary and Secondary 2016 Rookie Teachers of the Year 
Fort Bend ISD congratulates the first-year teachers who have been named the District Elementary and Secondary 2016 Rookie Teachers of the Year. The District's Elementary and Secondary Teacher of the Year Judging Committees met and reviewed all campus nominations and selected eight winners. 
FBISD juniors explore leadership in the judicial system
To learn about the various roles of leaders in the judicial system, members of Fort Bend ISD's Student Leadership 101 program had the opportunity to spend the day with two Fort Bend County judges, the Juvenile Detention Center superintendent and the FBISD Police Chief during a recent program session.

New Feature in Skyward Family Access Coming Soon
Fort Bend ISD will soon introduce a new feature in Skyward Family Access that will allow parents and guardians to choose how they would like to receive communications from the District. More information to come.
Fort Bend ISD held a Mentor Appreciation and Roundtable Discussion that welcomed more than 30 individuals who are supporting the educational system by serving as volunteer mentors to FBISD students.
Honey Brown Hope Foundation partners with FBISD in "We Love America Healthy, Clean and Green" initiative
The Honey Brown Hope Foundation hosted its 2016 "We Love America Healthy, Clean and Green" event that welcomed several Rosa Parks Elementary School administrators, teachers, students and staff for a weekend celebration during the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Holiday recognizing students' efforts to become "healthy, clean and green."
American Heart Association designates FBISD's Administration Building a Gold Fit-Friendly Worksite
The American Heart Association has designated Fort Bend ISD's Administration Building a Gold Fit-Friendly Worksite in recognition of the District's progressive leadership and concern for employees, as well as its efforts to build a culture of wellness that provides employees with options to making healthy choices.
Fort Bend ISD Employees "Go Red for Women"
To support the American Heart Association's "Go Red for Women," Fort Bend ISD employees at the Administration Building dressed in red-colored clothing and took part in a morning walk to help increase awareness about cardiovascular health. District wellness coordinators spearheaded the event as part of FBISD's LiveWell for a healthy life campaign.

Spring Break Theatre Camp is coming to Fort Bend ISD
Alley Play Makers is on the move and headed to Fort Bend ISD. The District has partnered with Alley Theatre to give students in grades K-8 an opportunity to explore their favorite science concept by participating in theatre camp.
