Fort Bend ISD celebrates Black History Month
Fort Bend ISD joins the nation in celebrating Black History Month throughout February, recognizing the valuable contributions and accomplishments of African Americans to our society. Black History Month reminds us to reflect on the positive change and great strides that African Americans, both past and present, have made for all people. We honor those individuals who have worked to ensure that civil rights and voting rights were met, those who have made medical advancements, individuals who have set world records in music or athletic events, and many others who have made their mark in history.
