Happy Thanksgiving!
A message to the community from Superintendent of Schools Dr. Charles Dupre
Our students and teachers have been very busy this semester, and I know they are all looking forward to a week away from the classroom. Before the break begins, I want to take a moment to update you on some important discussions that have occurred recently involving District staff and our Board of Trustees.

Over the last couple of months, our District administration has had conversations with the board regarding Career and Technical Education (CTE) in Fort Bend ISD. These conversations have been a critical component of a CTE review that began in 2014, and within the next couple of weeks, the administration will share its plans for the future of CTE. More information will be shared with our Board of Trustees on November 30, and community meetings will be held on December 8 and 9. Additional details about the meetings will be sent soon, but in the meantime, I hope you will mark your calendars to attend one of these evening meetings.

I hope you will also check out my latest blog post, Closing the Opportunity Gap, to learn more about a recent review of the District's 504, Response to Intervention, and dyslexia services.

Before I go, I want to wish your family a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with joy and gratitude. I am thankful for you and each one of our students, who continue to inspire me every day!
