What's New at the Resource Center?

We are beginning to receive materials for the fall! Summer is going to end before any of us are ready. Endings are also beginnings, and there is so much for each of us to look forward to.  Because I believe there are enough negatives in our lives, I am going to be very optimistic. Perhaps this will be the fall the drought ends! Or what if this fall is when visitors to your worship decide to become active in the life of your church. Maybe this fall will be the return of some missing members that you have lost contact with. Maybe some of your guests will have kids with disabilities, and you will find your congregation reaching out to welcome and assist them.  If you knew that this fall were going to bring the most amazing and exciting changes into your life, into the life of your congregation, what would you do to be ready? Why not get ready? I mean we are people who have all kinds of disaster plans and safety plans in place. Maybe it is time to create a 'life of belief' plan! I challenge, both you and me, to be prepared for the BEST life can offer!

Please explore our Resource Center website and search by subject, author, or title.  Or send an email to rspselca@pacbell.net and I will be happy to search resources for you. My office hours for mid-July through August are below, I am also available at other times by appointment. Send me an email any time you are looking for a resource, I am well connected via email.

May God bless you abundantly,

Janet Lane, Sierra Pacific Synod Resource Center Director

For your children we have:

"Whirl"
This program was written for grades PreK-6th grade and breaks down like this:
PreK-2nd grade
3rd grade through 6th grade
This is a video based curriculum and follows the Revised Common Lectionary

"Holy Moly!" for grades K-2
"Connect" for grades 5 and 6
These work very well together. They are user friendly and low prep!
This is also video based and I can personally testify that is awesome!

We continue to carry the SPARK: Activate Faith programs.
There are three different options:
Lectionary- A 3 year cycle complementing the Revised Common Lectionary.
Classroom-Key stories from both the Old and New Testament are explored.
Rotation- 48 Bible Stories, Eight weeks of fascinating workshops for each story!
Are you ready to explore one of these? Send me an email or give me a call, that's one of the great things about the Resource Center, you can try before you buy.
