CHURCH MUSICIANS --
CAN WE TALK ABOUT SHARING CHORAL MUSIC?
It has been called to my attention that often congregations have choral music filling and overflowing filing cabinets, while other congregations would truly appreciate the opportunity to borrow rather than buy this same choral music. If this music/share concept interests you, help us work out how to do this. Write me with your suggestions. Write me with your requests. Write and tell me what you have to offer to this kind of exchange. My email is: rspselca@pacbell.net. I have in my office a list of music (for starters) that St. Timothy, Monterey, is ready to give away or toss. Want to see that list? Email me: rspselca@pacbell.net or email Amy at office@sttim.org.
OUR MINISTRY PARTNERS AT THRIVENT HAVE
ANOTHER NEW RESOURCE FOR US
You are probably well acquainted now with the THRIVENT CHOICE program, by which individual Thrivent members may direct benevolent dollars to their congregation or certain other ministries. But now another project has been offered. It is called an ACTION project.
A Thrivent member may go on the website, www.thrivent.com, and apply to lead a project of his/her own choosing. One describes the project, estimates how many people would be working on this project, what is hoped to be accomplished, and why. Thrivent will send t-shirts for workers to wear, a banner, name tags, etc., if you wish. Upon approval, a cash card for $250 is sent for your project! If assistance is needed with the application process, ask your Congregational Advocate, local Thrivent professional, or email us at the Resource Center for help.
