New items are added weekly
at your
Synod Resource Center!

The most exciting new resource is our first attempt at offering you something online!

THE BIBLE TUTOR,
a program developed by Luther Seminary some years ago to help seminarians develop Biblical proficiency, is now available through the Resource Center.  To get started, as an individual or as a congregation, contact the Resource Center
to gain the password.  You will be free to share this password with folks from your congregation.  Our initial license will be for one year.  Dr. Craig Koester is credited with responsibility for content.

The Bible Tutor contains sections for People, Places, Dates, etc.   Your Bible study will become more thorough and connected as you use this Tutor on your own computer or laptop.  It is not designed for use on a I-pad, and for the testing section it requires Java, but it leads you easily through instructions for this so that you can update if needed.  Pastors or lay will find this to be an excellent tool as they read and study either for personal growth or a class.

Contact us now, and get started using the Bible Tutor!

EASY CHURCH WEBSITES  (Thur. May 29, 11 AM)
"Your church website is your first contact with many potential new members and a key communication source for your current members.  Make sure your church message reflects your church vision.  You don't have to be a computer programmer to maintain a healthy church website.  With a computer, internet access and "Easy Church Websites" from ACI, your website is easy to maintain and update. We include a powerful suite of tools to manage content, podcasts, blogs, photos, calendars, e-newsletters and more.  Attend this demonstration to see for yourself what your church website can do for your congregation."

"The Six Marks of Progressive Christian Worship Music" is the title of another of our new resources.

It is written by Bryan Sirchio, an ordained UCC pastor, who for the past twenty-two years has been working extensively doing concerts and leading worship services and retreats.  This book has been written for musicians and pastors (and anyone else) interested in traditional or mainline churches that are using "contemporary" music in worship.  The book discusses why many folks in mainline circles don't care for the language and theology of a good deal of "praise and worship" music, and it establishes some criteria for a new genre of worship music called "Progressive Christian Worship Music."  You can be the first to read this book.   Click here, [email protected]

Recognizing and honoring THE BEST ......

CONGRATULATIONS TO AUGSBURG FORTRESS and their "Sparkhouse" team for being awarded "best short film" at the 2014 International Christian Film Festival in Orlando in April.  The award was for the re:form Ancestors curriculum, "Abraham and Sarah."
We have this in the Resource Center, as well as other parts of the re:form curriculum,  if you would like to take a look.  We hear good comments about its use with youth-young adults-adults.  www.resourcecenterspselca.org
