MicroTCA Gains Traction in New Applications |

MicroTCA is well-known for its leading-edge performance in Communications applications. It has also started to hit critical mass of knowledge/acceptance in Mil/Aero applications, typically standard MTCA.0 products. Plus of course, MicroTCA is the architecture of choice for High Energy Physics. But, there are other applications for MicroTCA that are not as well known.
Network Security -- Used for secure communications hub in multiple Communications and Defense/HLS applications.
Rugged Applications (MTCA.1, MTCA.2/.3) -- Includes both Mil/Aero and outdoor applications. One application utilizes our VT872 ATR chassis for an edge-of-network device placed on street lamps.
Test & Measurement -- Semiconductor test application utilizing our 1U chassis with PrAMC, FPGA, and storage.
Video Processing -- Ranges from rugged airborne applications to Broadcast markets for video compression/media transport. Our VT880 and VT812 are both 2U chassis used in these applications. The VT812 is a MTCA.4 version with RTMs.
Industrial Control -- Includes power distribution control systems. Utilized industrial-grade rugged MTCA.1 chassis.
With MicroTCA's versatile performance density, a wide range of applications are discovering the advantages of a truly COTS architecture.
