DS|Manage360 Server Upgrade
We have received some feedback recently that many users were experiencing a degree of slowness with DS|Manage360. We have determined that we need to make some hardware upgrades to our servers to speed things up. In order to make these upgrades we need to take DS|Manage360 offline for a two-hour period from 1:00 AM to 3:00 AM EDT on Tuesday July 15, 2014

DS|Manage360 will not be available during this time. We advise you to save any work prior to the scheduled downtime.
DS|Manage360 v2.49 Update
We will be releasing this update with all of the enhancements and fixes listed below on Thursday July 17, 2014 at 5:00 AM EDT. We require approximately one hour to perform this update, during which time your DS|Manage360 will not be available.
What's New
Included in this update: 

Major Security Upgrade - a new role based security model has been integrated into every aspect of DS|Manage360. Based on a set Role or combination of Roles you may grant or restrict an Employee's access to certain aspects of the application. Depending on which Role the employee has, they will be able to View, Edit, Create, and/or Delete certain aspects of the application. 

To make security in DS|Manage360 as easy as possible for you to apply, for each Role we have gone so far as to determine which features, settings, functions, and reports throughout the system are needed and at what level of access, in order for your employees to perform their specific job duties.

To access the new Security settings, go to Settings > Employees > select an Employee > Roles/User Settings where you may then select the Role(s) for that particular employee.
NOTE: Since the majority of you have given full access to your Employees, this feature will be released with all users having Administrator access. You must edit the Roles/Users Settings of each Employee to begin to restrict access.

For more details about each role, click on the Role Permissions button in the Roles/Users Settings tab. Select a role to see the features and the level of access that is granted to that role.

The walk through will take place the day before the release of this new feature so that you're prepared for when the new functionality arrives.

  3. Invoices can now be printed from the Actions menu on the Invoice detail screen. Display of Company Address and Logo on the Invoice is configurable in Settings > My Company Settings > Configuration.
  4. Tax numbers can now be displayed on invoices above the customer message. 
  5. Tax numbers are configurable per tax in Settings > Taxes. Whether to "Show Tax Numbers on Invoice" can be set in Settings > Configuration.
  6. Upgrade to the rich text editor throughout DS|Manage360
  1. Saving new materials with a General Conditions Supplier
  2. Timesheet Job Log shows all the items from the job actuals, including any duplicate items, depending on the grouping level set on the Job. This will allow you to properly track the Job Log hours. 
  3. Created Tasks are linking to Contacts/Accounts/Opportunities/Jobs properly.
  4. Change Order Add Items screen now fits properly with Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 8.1.
  5. Adjusting tax types on the Invoice Detail screen now updates the tax line items correctly.
  6. Invoices for jobs that use percentage completion by Work Area are no longer off by a few cents in certain edge cases.
  7. Invoices for jobs that use percentage completion by work area would be off by a few cents in certain edge cases. This update addresses those edge cases, and results in more accurate numbers. 
  8. Online Plant Database in DS|Design matches DS|Manage360 Plant List
