March 2014

I'm having a wonderful year so far in 2014 following the launch of Directions 4 Wellness. My Integrative Health Coaching Practice is growing steadily as a result of my meeting some amazing professionals through my networking connections. We share how we can all support one another through "cross pollination of referrals."

What sets me apart, as a Health Coach, from other health coaches, is my ability to braid the complexity of medical knowledge (I am an experienced nurse) with an understanding of human nature and patterns (from my studies of an indigenous healing paradigm for the last 12 years).

In addition to individualized coaching, I have been invited to be a presenter for several organizations, such as AIM Motivational Seminars, and Pearls of Wisdom. At these seminars, I will be sharing my perspective of Shamanic studies and how we open the door to affliction so that we may learn from it through our physical experience.  Additionally I plan to share how an imbalance with the elements increases our stress and risk for dis-ease while focusing on how we evolve through our physical experiences. We determine the degree that we are able to heal ourselves through access to our inner-physician. We heal ourselves when we take responsibility for actions to change our patterns. I support this process of change in my coaching partnership.

I'd like to express my gratitude for your support. I am especially grateful to the "early adopters" of my coaching expression. We have truly been partners in this process together - as you have been coaching me through your reflections!

I have completed my first 100 hours of coaching training and I am now eligible for certification testing as an Integrative Health Coach through Duke Integrative Medicine.

My special pricing will end when I am certified, so I encourage everyone who is interested in a coaching package to contact me soon.

Thank you,

Sara

Evolution Through Physical Experience

Evolve: It's through our evolution that we heal

and transform into our potential.

We came into physical form to evolve our soul through how we engage in our physical experiences. If we were formless, as in Spirit, we would not have the capacity to do and experience all the things that we engage with during our lifetime. We need our senses, our body and our mind to integrate all of what we experience as we move through our life. We are constantly engaging our Free Will to choose which path to take, how to get something done or to expand our imagination so we can explore our vision.

So if you open the door to an affliction, how is this dis-ease your teacher? What is your soul calling you to do or learn? The key to healing is to harvest what you are learning so you can determine how to choreograph your life to restore health through balance and harmony. We are always evolving as we seek our next opportunity to grow.

I recently participated in a community effort to transform the back yard landscaping of our Spiritual School at the Rainbow Powers Center into a sanctuary of beauty.

Anytime you work on personal transformation to create a new inner landscape, you are following the same process that we did on that beautiful day supported by sunshine (light) and fresh air (intent) working as a community (accountability).

First we pulled out all the unwanted weeds by their roots and discarded them. These are the old habits, belief systems and concepts cleared from the inner landscape. We brought in bucket loads of fresh, fertile topsoil representing fresh perspectives and new viewpoints.

The next step was to place the new plants into their places spaced evenly to create beauty. New patterns start as a tiny seed that grows into a plant and flourishes as it takes root into the earth (the physical body). The final step was the layer of gravel for drainage and to seal in the soil and the moisture as we watered all of the new growth.

This is when our self-transformation is integrated into all aspects of being; exposing the new plants to light and water as they take root.
