Construction Project Websites

As you've driven around Lake County this summer, you have undoubtedly witnessed several of the our road projects and some state roadwork. 

The Lake County Division of Transportation has worked with IDOT and other local agencies to create dedicated websites for many of these improvement projects. I encourage you to visit these websites for the latest information, including contact information and the current construction schedule.

Property Assessments & the Appeal Process

 

Taxpayers will be receiving their assessment notice this month. Once you receive the notice, review all of the information carefully. Discuss any questions with your township assessor's office and visit assessor.lakecountyil.gov to review assessment information including property characteristics, comparable property information, and the e-filing process.

Electronic Collections Events Around Lake County
 
The Solid Waste Agency of Lake County (SWALCO) is holding collection events for electronic waste (e-waste) around Lake County. Proper disposal of items such as computer equipment, digital equipment, microwave ovens, and batteries is important because of potential hazardous waste within them. Protect your community by bringing your unwanted electronic items to these collection events. 
 
Cuba Township (Road District Facility)

Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Lake Barrington (Prairieland Disposal & Recycling Services)
27W966 Commercial Avenue, Lake Barrington
Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. & Saturday 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
(cardboard, mixed paper and household containers are also accepted at the Prairieland Disposal & Recycling Services collection site)

Village of Wauconda (Public Works Facility)

Student Immunization Requirements
 
All sixth through 12th graders attending public schools in Illinois are required to have a Tdap booster shot. Proof of these vaccinations is required. Click here to learn more about immunization shots and who needs them. 
LCDOT is collecting stories & pictures for BIKE LAKE COUNTY
