OUTSTANDING EDUCATORS TO BE RECOGNIZED
Is there an employee of the Oregon Trail School District that  you believe has done an outstanding job of motivating and educating our children?  Now is your oppportunity  to recognize his or her efforts.
 
The Oregon Trail Education Foundation is presenting their fifteenth annual Excellence in Education Awards program.  More than 200 teachers, support staff and administrators have previously been recognized for their accomplishments.
  
The Excellence in Education Award is designed to honor employees of the Oregon Trail School District who have made significant contributions to the lives of children.  All community patrons, students and parents are invited to nominate any district employee. 
Nomination forms are available at every school office, or the district's web site at www.oregontrailschools.com.  Nominations are due April 5 and may be submitted to any school office or mailed to:  Oregon Trail Education Foundation, PO Box 1312, Sandy.
  
LOST & FOUND OVERFLOWING!
Please stop by the school to check for lost & found items. We have piles of jackets, sweatshirts & shoes in both the elementary & middle school lost & found locations. If items are not retrieved by Spring Break, they will be donated to charity.
  
CHILD FIND:
Public schools will ensure that all students with disabilities who are eligible for kindergarten through 21 years of age, residing within  their attendance area, have available to them a free and appropriate public education in the lease restrictive environment.  The rights of children with disabilities and their parents will be protected in accordance with state and federal laws.
 
Oregon Trail School District must locate and identify individuals who have disabilities from birth to age 21.  If you or someone you know has a child with a disability who may be in need of a special education and related services you can initiate a referral through Clackamas County Early Childhood Program 503-675-4181 or Oregon Trail Student Services Office 503-668-4949.

KINDERGARTEN ROUND-UP
Kindergarten Round-up has been scheduled for Thursday, April 11th, 6:00-7:30 p.m.  Please call the school office and let us know if you will have an incoming kindergarten student. Remind neighbors, family & friends to bring their 5 year old children to this milestone event. Incoming Kindergarten students need to be 5 years of age by September 1st.
