New Round of Rebates for Businesses!

EnergySmart launched new rebates January 1st and they are going fast.  $250,000 in rebates are now available to businesses and commercial property owners for eligible projects completed between Jan 1 and Apr 15, 2013, or until funds are committed. There is a $10,000 cap per parcel for HVAC projects, but no cap for lighting or other non-HVAC projects. Businesses must contact an Energy Advisor prior to the installation of energy efficiency measures to be eligible for rebates.  Call us at 303-441-1300.

Featured Success Story

Baileys Wine and Spirits participated in EnergySmart upgrading both their indoor lighting and their refrigeration equipment.  These upgrades have dramatically reduced their monthly utility costs. Baileys shared that even their employees and customers expressed appreciation for the improvements.

In some cases, lighting for a business accounts for up to 40% of the electric bill. Refrigeration for most restaurants accounts for over 10% of energy costs and almost 50% of energy costs in convenience, liquor, and grocery stores.

Baileys wanted to make a difference and upgraded to T8 fluorescent lighting on the retail floor and LED strip lights and EC motors in the beer and wine coolers. They anticipate saving over $5,000 per year on their energy bills. Read more.

Get the Most Out of Your Investment

EnergySmart is offering free commissioning verification service for businesses that received EnergySmart rebates for heating and cooling equipment in 2011 or 2012.  We will check to make sure that rooftop units were commissioned when installed, including checking thermostat settings, economizer performance, and proper air flow.  Interested businesses should work with an EnergySmart advisor to confirm eligibility.
