Planning for the health of our water.

MVCA participated in the City of Ottawa Water Round Table on June 14 with our fellow Ottawa CAs, Rideau Valley and South Nation.
Focused on understanding the health of Ottawa's rivers, lakes, streams and other water resources, the event aimed to further the conversation with residents about what the community can do to ensure these resources are protected and preserved.

Conservation

Read Conservation Ontario's Annual Report Driving Innovation: Conservation Authorities: Leaders in Watershed Management.

"Ontario's watersheds are not immune to the challenges we face globally. Climate change and rapid urbanization, alone, create significant problems with maintaining water quality and supply. They contribute to more frequent and costly weather events and affect biodiversity by threatening wetlands, trees, native species, and much more."- excerpt from Driving Innovation.
