Warden's Forum This Sunday

 

Please join the wardens this Sunday, August 9 at 9 am in Satterlee Hall for an informative update on our finances, stewardship, and exciting plans for the fall! There will be a special update and discussion about exciting developments for our future.
Covered Dish Luncheon on August 16
What do Costa Rica, Wells Cathedral, Haiti, the Orkney Islands, John's Island, August, GA, and Sumter Street all have in common? Find out at our covered-dish luncheon after the 10:00 am service on Sunday, August 16! Come for great food, wonderful fellowship, and the chance to learn about the amazing experiences that Trinity's young people have shared this summer. For the covered-dish lunch, last name beginning with A-E:bring green salad or jello salad; F-J:bring desserts; K-R: bring a side dish; S-Z: bring vegetable. Please bring enough for 12 servings.
Volunteer with Reading Matters
Faith leaders and congregations are taking steps to address to critical issue of literacy as a foundation of a strong education. Building on a multi-denominational program begun in January, some Richland One Schools will pair reading tutors with children in first and second grades this Fall. Tutoring will improve the children's ability to read and their performance in school. The relationships built in tutoring are invaluable. You can make a difference in a child's life. Deadline to register is August 15. Tutoring begins the week of September 13. The commitment is one hour, once a week. For more information and to sign up, click here.
YAMS Drinks & Discussion: One God, Many Paths?

Are all religions really seeking the same end? Does it really matter what you believe or how you find God? At the root, are Hindus, Muslims, or even Deists really any different? Consider the importance of our particular religious convictions with other young adults at The Kraken Gastropub on Rosewood Drive at 7pm on Tuesday, August 18. 

Fall Service Schedule Begins August 23
Trinity Cathedral's fall service schedule will begin on Sunday, August 23. Sunday services this fall include: Cathedral services at 7:45am, 9am, 11:15am, and 4pm (Evensong) and Keenan Chapel services at 11:15am and 6pm.
EDUSC Christian Formation Conference 2015
Call all Sunday School teachers! Join us for the 2015 EDUSC Christian Formation Conference. Beginning at 6 pm on Friday, August 21, the conference runs through Sunday, August 23 at 1:30 pm. Men of Trinity Fall Kickoff
The Men of Trinity Fall Father/Child Kickoff will be Tuesday, September 1 from 6-8pm in the Workshop. This year's speaker will be USC Head Baseball Coach, Chad Hollbrook. Please save the date. An online registration will be open soon.

The Seeds of Hope Farmer's Market will continue this Sunday. Farmer Louis Reid from Greelyville will be in the main parking lot from 8 am-12 pm. Come get some fresh South Carolina grown produce. Volunteers are needed. Contact Andrella at 261.7471 for more information.
