Ascension Feast

Ascension is one of the great feasts of the church year, yet is often woefully under-celebrated. Join us on Wednesday, May 13, the Eve of the Ascension, at 5:30 pm for a Solemn Eucharist in the Cathedral, followed by a parish barbeque feast on the Cathedral Lawn.

United Thank Offering

The United Thank Offering (UTO) Spring Ingathering will be held this Sunday, May 17. Envelopes and "Blue Boxes" will be available in the Welcome Center and in the Daughters Room before May 17, as well as in the pews on May 17. Read more.

Ensemble Vermillian Concert
On Friday, May 15 at 7:30pm in the Cathedral there will be a special concert with an exceptional quintet of recorder, violin, cello, theorbo and organ. Tickets are $8 and $10. Read more and purchase tickets here.

Evensong Homilies Continue This Sunday

Join us Sunday in the Cathedral at 4pm for Evensong. This Sunday Canon Dane Boston will preach on the topic: The Resurrection is for us: He "didst open the Kingdom of Heaven to all believers." This will be the last Sunday of the series.

Honoring Roger Hutchison

We will honor Canon Roger Hutchison at a Sunday reception this Sunday, May 17 at 10:15 am. Special offerings are being received for Roger to thank him for his many years of service to Trinity, and to assist in his transition to his new position in Houston. Checks can be made out to Trinity Cathedral, with "Roger Hutchison" written on the memo line.

Newcomers Workshop

Friday, May 22 and Saturday, May 23 Mary Parmer will be a leading a special Newcomers Workshop "Invite-Welcome-Connect" at Trinity. All are welcome. Register online and learn more here.

Reception for Fay Folline

Fay Folline will be retiring from her role as Newcomer Coordinator at the end of the month. A reception and going-away party will be held for her Tuesday, May 26 at 4:30 pm in the Stirling Room.

Costa Rica "El Projecto de Princesa" Project

The Costa Rica mission team is collecting prom dresses for "El Projecto de Princesa" project. Donations accepted until June 15. Read more.

Theology Through Film Group

Join Theology Through Film for snacks, a movie and lively discussion at 6pm on Tuesday. This week's movie is To Kill A Mockingbird, a classic is based on Harper Lee's Pulitzer Prize winning novel by the same name. Staring Gregory Peck, the Academy Award winner explores racial injustice from an innocent child's perspective. Lynn Teague will lead the discussion. Read more.

Summer Worship Schedule Change

Next Sunday, May 24, Trinity will move to our summer service schedule. Cathedral services will take place at 7:45 am and 10 am. Keenan Chapel services will take place at 11:30 am and 6 pm.

Men of Trinity Spring Gathering

Education for Ministry

Are you interested in finding out more about Education for Ministry (EfM)? Join us for an informational wine and cheese get-together on May 18 at 5:30 pm in the Daughters Room. Enjoy refreshments, learn more about EfM, look over the books and materials used in class, and discuss the program with people who have experienced it in the past. Come no matter your level of interest or curiosity. All are welcome!

Bishop Temple Meeting

The Bishop Temple Chapter of the DHC will meet on May 19 at 10 am in the home of Anne Foster at 711 Elizabeth Ave. Nela Edgar will be the speaker and will talk about the history of women's service and the changing roles of Trinity women. Pentecost Gospel Readers Needed

For many years it has been our practice on Pentecost Sunday (May 24) to hear the Gospel lesson read simultaneously in many languages.
